Refund Policy

Last updated: July 14, 2026

MakeHDR offers a 14-day money-back guarantee on all purchases. The process depends on where you bought. Not sure which? Receipts from Paddle come from noreply@paddle.com. App Store receipts come from Apple (no_reply@email.apple.com).

14-day money-back guarantee

If MakeHDR is not right for you, request a full refund within 14 days of your purchase. This applies to Pro monthly, Pro Annual, and the Founding Lifetime license, regardless of whether you purchased through the web app or the iOS / macOS app. We reserve the right to decline refunds in cases of clear abuse — for example, bulk-converting a large batch of content and then immediately requesting a refund.

Purchased on makehdr.com? Request via email

Email support@makehdr.com from the address you used at checkout and include your Paddle receipt number. We will submit the refund through Paddle, our Merchant of Record for web purchases, who will return the amount to your original payment method — typically within 5–10 business days.

Purchased in the iOS or macOS app? Request via Apple

If you bought through the MakeHDR iPhone, iPad, or Mac app, Apple is the Merchant of Record. We cannot issue those refunds directly. To request one, visit reportaproblem.apple.com and sign in with your Apple ID, or go to Settings → [Your Name] → Purchase History on your device. Apple reviews each request individually. If a refund is approved, access to Pro features will be revoked.

Cancelling a subscription

Web (Paddle): cancel anytime from your MakeHDR account page — you keep access until the end of the current billing period and won't be charged again. App Store: go to Settings → [Your Name] → Subscriptions on your iPhone or Mac and cancel MakeHDR Pro. Cancelling through your MakeHDR account does not cancel an App Store subscription.

Founding Lifetime license

The Founding Lifetime license is covered by the same 14-day guarantee. After 14 days it is non-refundable, since it grants permanent access for the lifetime of the product. If a refund is granted, Pro access is revoked.

EU and UK consumers

If you are based in the EU, EEA, or UK, you may have a statutory right to withdraw from a digital purchase within 14 days under the Consumer Rights Directive (2011/83/EU) or UK Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013. For digital content where delivery begins immediately, this right may be waived at checkout — which both Paddle and Apple handle in their respective flows. Our 14-day commercial guarantee applies regardless. If you have questions about your statutory rights, contact support@makehdr.com.

Australian consumers

If you are an Australian consumer, you have rights under the Australian Consumer Law (ACL) that apply independently of our voluntary guarantee. MakeHDR must be of acceptable quality and fit for its stated purpose. Our 14-day guarantee does not limit, replace, or exclude any rights you have under the ACL.
