Refund Policy
Last updated: August 29, 2026
MakeHDR offers a 14-day money-back guarantee on all purchases. The process depends on where you bought. Not sure which? Receipts from Paddle come from noreply@paddle.com. App Store receipts come from Apple (no_reply@email.apple.com).
14-day money-back guarantee
If MakeHDR is not right for you, ask for a full refund within 14 days of your purchase — no explanation needed. It covers the one-time Pro purchase wherever you bought it, on the web or inside the iPhone, iPad and Mac apps, and the monthly and annual subscriptions sold before August 2026, which we no longer offer. Inside those 14 days we do not weigh how much you converted. After them a purchase is normally non-refundable, and we look at heavy use before deciding — converting a large batch and then asking for the money back is the case we decline.
Purchased on makehdr.com? Request via email
Email support@makehdr.com from the address you used at checkout and include your Paddle receipt number. We will submit the refund through Paddle, our Merchant of Record for web purchases, who will return the amount to your original payment method — typically within 5–10 business days.
Bought in the app? Apple decides — write to us anyway
If you bought inside the MakeHDR iPhone, iPad or Mac app, Apple is the Merchant of Record and we cannot issue that refund ourselves. Request it at reportaproblem.apple.com, or in Settings → [Your Name] → Purchase History on your device. Write to support@makehdr.com as well: before deciding, Apple often asks us how much of the product the account used, and inside the 14-day window we answer asking Apple to grant the refund. Your email is what tells us to expect the question — and what lets us fix whatever went wrong. If the refund is approved, Pro access ends and exports carry the watermark again.
Subscriptions sold before August 2026
MakeHDR no longer sells subscriptions — Pro is a single payment. If you still have a monthly or annual plan from before that change: on the web, cancel anytime from your account page and you keep access until the end of the period you already paid for; on the App Store, cancel in Settings → [Your Name] → Subscriptions. Cancelling inside your MakeHDR account does not cancel an App Store subscription.
The one-time purchase
The one-time Pro purchase is covered by the same 14-day guarantee. After that it is non-refundable: it grants permanent access for the lifetime of the product and there is no renewal to stop, so nothing keeps being charged. If a refund is granted, Pro access is revoked and exports carry the watermark again.
EU and UK consumers
If you are based in the EU, EEA, or UK, you may have a statutory right to withdraw from a digital purchase within 14 days under the Consumer Rights Directive (2011/83/EU) or UK Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013. For digital content where delivery begins immediately, this right may be waived at checkout — which both Paddle and Apple handle in their respective flows. Our 14-day commercial guarantee applies regardless. If you have questions about your statutory rights, contact support@makehdr.com.
Australian consumers
If you are an Australian consumer, you have rights under the Australian Consumer Law (ACL) that apply independently of our voluntary guarantee. MakeHDR must be of acceptable quality and fit for its stated purpose. Our 14-day guarantee does not limit, replace, or exclude any rights you have under the ACL.
Questions
Anything unclear? Email support@makehdr.com — whether you bought on the web or in the App Store, and whether or not you already asked Apple. A refund request is not a complaint we take badly: if the app did not do what you expected, we would rather hear it.
