The app is included with a paid MakeHDR plan (Pro or Lifetime). You sign in with the same account you use on the web — there's no separate purchase.

Which devices are supported?

Mac on macOS 26 (Tahoe) or later — Apple Silicon or Intel — plus iPhone and iPad on iOS or iPadOS 26 or later.

I bought Pro inside the app — does it work on the web?

Yes. It's one plan on one account: buy on the web or in the app, and Pro unlocks the web converter and the iPhone, iPad and Mac apps alike.

Is the photo conversion different from the website?

No — it's the same Ultra HDR engine, so photos come out byte-for-byte identical. The app adds high-performance HDR video on top.

What video format does it export?

HEVC 10-bit in a MOV — a widely compatible HDR video container — tagged BT.2020 with your choice of PQ or HLG.
